Lanterra Developments, established in 1999, is a renowned group that has been crafting remarkable residential communities in the Greater Toronto Area for over two decades. Their vision entails creating iconic condominium towers that boast exceptional locations, distinctive architecture, and innovative designs, while offering outstanding amenities to their residents.

Founded by Mark Mandelbaum and Barry Fenton, both individuals bring a wealth of expertise in law and real estate. Mark completed his legal education at the University of Toronto in 1981 and was admitted to the bar in 1983. He practiced corporate law at a prominent downtown Toronto firm before joining his family’s real estate business. For 25 years, he served as the Vice President of Land Development and Corporate Council, overseeing various aspects of the company.

Barry, on the other hand, obtained his law degree from the University of Ottawa and was called to the bar in 1983. After practicing law for two years, he transitioned into the role of president at a major real estate firm in 1985. His expertise focused on acquiring and developing significant residential and commercial properties across Canada and the United States.

The collaboration between Mark and Barry began with the acquisition of the One Bedford property in 1999, marking the birth of Lanterra. While both individuals are involved in the overall management of the company, Mark primarily concentrates on architectural and design aspects of projects, while Barry oversees property acquisition and development. The core values that drive their endeavors include innovation, teamwork, integrity, respect, creativity, and responsibility. These values are evident in every development they undertake throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

Their ambition extends beyond constructing buildings; they aspire to shape Toronto into a forward-looking global city. By accurately anticipating the evolving housing needs of the city and incorporating master-planned communities, striking designs, and sustainable technologies, they are guiding Toronto to become a prominent urban hub on the international stage.

Mark and Barry possess a vast reservoir of knowledge and experience in the real estate industry, which has played a pivotal role in establishing their company’s stellar reputation. Ice Condominiums – a 55 storey tower located near the harbourfront and the Entertainment district. With amenities such as a sauna, steam room, pool and jacuzzi located at 12 York Street.

One Bedford – Lanterra’s first acquisition, located in the annex. Amenities include an exercise room, pool, and billiards room, just located at 1 Bedford Road.

22 Condominiums – a series of boutique condominiums located at 22 Wellesley Street, over 24 storeys.

Burano Condominiums – a 50 storey condominium located in the discovery district. Amenities include a party room, concierge, pool, steam room and jacuzzi. It’s located at 832 Bay Street
