This partnership was announced at a press conference yesterday for the launch of Ten York a show-stopping, 75-story tower designed by architect Rudy Wallman, located in downtown Toronto at York and Harbour streets.

“To generate value for our city, in a responsible way, is vital to fixing our city’s financial challenges,” said Doug Ford, City Councillor and Vice Chair of Build Toronto. “What you will see today is a great example of the private sector working with the public sector. Finding revenues and working quickly to generate results like jobs, economic development and a leading edge in architectural design.”

According to the launch’s press release, “Build Toronto is an independent and self-funding real estate and development corporation focused on maximizing the value of underutilized real estate previously owned by the City.”

“It’s a triple win for Toronto,” said Tridel President, Leo DelZotto. “The city is guaranteed the sale of this property, they’re going to be participating in profits from the project, and more importantly, an under-performing asset with be producing tax dollars year after year after year.”

Recent Updates For Ten york

Tridel did some  change of the Building Design as the building  will be wide at the Base , narrows in the middle, and is wider on the top again.The building will be rectangle with a thin side and a fat side.

The Tower will have  8 elevators in total – 4 high rise, 4 low rise.

The largest unit  will have a view of south west and north. It’s 900 sw ft.
The smallest unit is a bachelor unit at 488 sq ft.

Each floor have 10 units

Each floor will have  1 bachelor, 5  One Bedroom units, 1 one bedroom plus den  ,1 two bedrooms plus den  and 2  Three bedrooms units  on the west side.
